My 2017 Carnival Styling Tips!

On the beautiful island of St.Maarten, we are about to enter one of the most exciting time of the year: CARNIVAL. Over the past few years, the Carnival Village (which is where we celebrate 3 weeks of continued fun, music concerts, mingling and LOTS of fashion).  Over the years we can certainly say that Carnival Season forces you to bring your "Fashion Game" on and for it to be on point.

I normally place an on line order from late March. This year I decided to focus all my shopping on some local stores that cater to plus size. Not only in clothing but in encouraging you to wear different pieces out of your comfort zone. Your "stereotyped" plus size woman, is still reserved and not willing to try too many new things. Well I have named 2017 the year of "trying New Things"! And by new, I mean, new colors, new hair styles, new mix & matches, new makeup looks etc.

This Carnival Season I was honored to be able to showcase items from both T's Closet & Plush Boutik: Both are Trendy Stores, where clients become family and where the customer service is the very essence of their business. Clients like myself, whom have used them many times as my very own personal shoppers, simply because they have are able to dream and envisioned my styles and different demands when it comes to fashion.

I have selected a few pieces that are cute, chic, stylish and certainly within the realm of our current Fashion trends:

When I first saw this piece, I was convinced it was a dress....however I was surprised to find out that it was actually a romper. this means extra comfort ladies! There is no need to be stressing about wind blowing or any other fashion mishaps as you walk. This cobalt blue looks Amazing with bright colors: I chose a combination of: red, green and yellow accessories. Perfect for that Reggae Night music Concert!
