So many amazing things happened during the month of March, and numerous women were
recognized in different industries (male-dominated included) for their critical role in
making their businesses or their organizations thrive. We are here for ALL of it!!
We are happy to announce our collaboration with Aya Styler, a custom jewelry brand out
of Trinidad. Aya Styler will be on our beautiful island from March 28 to – April 8 for a
unique Style Tour and shopping experience.
I had the pleasure of connecting and collaborating with the founder of Aya Styler,
Tameika Fletcher Birmingham, to make magic happen! I am elated to share a little bit
with you about how Aya Styler was born:
AYA Styler was started from Tameika Fletcher Birmingham’s love for accessories
design, retail, and events. She was born in the creative, vibrant, and lush country of
Trinidad and Tobago is her spring for inspiration. She grew up in her family
business which nurtured and sparked her entrepreneurship vibrancy. Her parents were
pioneers in the fashion industry and the seeds they planted are growing today in the
businesses of their children.
She is a BSc Business graduate of the University of the West Indies and holds
certificates in Public Relations and Events Management. In her early years, she was a
Corporate Communications Professional in the Aviation Industry for 9 years. Tameika
has had over 15 years of experience being a retailer of beading supplies and an
educator of beaded jewelry in Trinidad and Tobago with her business Bead Cafe.
She is a regional speaker and an advocate for entrepreneurship encouraging youths in
the creative field. This mother of one is a serial entrepreneur, self-taught fashion
accessories designer, and business consultant.
She decided to shift her focus to her brand AYA STYLER during the pandemic. She
restructured her other businesses to follow her first love, jewelry. Since then, the brand
has grown. She was one of the designers on the team with Caribbean Export shown at
Autumn Fair, Birmingham 2022. She opened a new boutique in 2022 and was scouted
and the brand is now at the showroom in Atlanta, USA.
With a passion for creating her goal is to offer more than a brand that creates beautiful
jewelry. At its core is passion and inspiration for women and pushing Caribbean
creativity and culture. She is focused on developing an international brand with unique
products and experiences. She loves to travel and plans to use her platform to promote
Caribbean Fashion Tourism and an advocate for ‘Shop and Wear Caribbean’ building
pride for goods designed in our region. As well as supporting the growth of the
Caribbean accessories market through initiatives like the Caribbean Fashion Jewelry
Summit she pioneered in 2020 creating the first online conference for fashion jewelry
designers in the Caribbean.
This is a great opportunity to showcase how powerful women are when they get
together to collaborate and when feed off each other’s strengths to create new
opportunities. I am truly excited about this Style Tour, and we are hoping that our
fashionistas come out, not only to get themselves some amazing accessories but also
to be part of our entrepreneurial stories.

appeal. At its core is inspiring women through design and experience.
Caribbean Designer Accessories brand, Aya Styler based in Trinidad and Tobago is
visiting St Maarten, from 28th March to 8th April as part of its Caribbean Style Tour initiative.
The brand will be networking and collaborating with stores and spaces to showcase its
style while immersing in the culture cuisine and experiences of the country.
Aya Styler will be collaborating with T’s Closet, Holland House, Simple Elegance,
Endless Summer and the Coffee Lounge, coordinated by Kerai Kreative Style. Guests
can enjoy a meet and greet and showcase.
This initiative by AYA Styler is to support and promote Caribbean fashion tourism and
Caribbean-designed products. The Caribbean has the edge with its stunning
destinations, warm weather, and chic resort wear and jewelry to be a leading fashion
destination.
We are ready to welcome Tameika & Aya Styler to our beautiful island and
